About the Event

Sadly, the Earth we inherited is a troubled planet. This Indigenous People’s Day, we look to the role of environmental activism taken by the Anishinaabe/Ojibwe as depicted by Carole Lindstrom in We Are the Water Protectors. Winner of the Caldecott Medal and the Golden Kite Award, Lindstrom counts herself among water activists and shares the tradition that shapes her commitment to protecting the environment.
