Summer Flow Flourishes!

With Color Our World as the theme for 2025’s Summer Reading, Your Summer deserves to be Fun, Flowing, and Flourishing!  All our patrons, Young and Younger, deserve to Thrive! And while we’re making sure everyone’s getting the Best experiences, we also want to ensure you get our Truth and your Justice in a Safe Space! To this mission, we now offer flyers in Spanish and Creole!

 

Just the other day I requested ICE (cubes) from our local Fire Department! (For our Children’s Day Festival) And within nanoseconds, I realized simply saying ICE was no longer innocent! Crazy, right… Libraries all over the Country are anxious because of an onslaught of executive orders, book bans, and threats to remove funding! – A few months ago, Dr. Carla Hayden, the 14th Librarian of Congress, who was the first Black Person and Woman to hold the position, was shamelessly let go through an infamous email! In a MARVELous Universe, let’s all believe these unwarranted acts only make us more determined and focused on matters that flourish our Communities!

Vintage Hues of Family Fun Films Every Thursday at 2 pm! NikkiFit Re-BOOTCAMP Every Wednesday at 6 pm! Natural Hair-Braiding Academy! And a blast of so much more… Check our website for details and more goodies! Like a chance to win 2 tickets to the Gazillion Bubbles Show in Manhattan and Roosevelt Public Library’s all-day and night Epic Marvel Marathon. The New York Metro Black Pilots of America will be launching their program at RPL in the coming weeks. So Stay tuned!
