Tanya Poyser

Tanya Poyser is a wife and a mother to three children. She has been an educator for sixteen years and two years as an Educational leader. Tanya earned a Master of Science in Education from Nazareth College and Educational Leadership Certification from the University of Rochester, Warner School. She is also a graduate of New York University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. A Paralegal certificate From Monroe Community College complements her academic accomplishment. Tanya is also a graduate of the United Way of Greater Rochester/African American Leadership Development Program. Founder of Cares For Humanity, a not for profit organization. Tanya Poyser is an active member of Jack and Jill, Inc., Nassau County Chapter, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., Black Women Leadership Forum and Roosevelt Parent Teacher Student Association. Tanya cares about what happens to her community, she has always invested in its development. Tanya has served on many community boards and participates in ongoing community revitalization and upliftment projects. Her passion is education for all, with a focus on reading and adult literacy and providing equity for different-abled children and people. She currently attends Zion Cathedral Church in Freeport, NY.
