My name is Laurette Gregory. I am a current resident of Roosevelt and have been for forty-six (46) years. I am a mother of three (3) adult children and four (4) grandchildren. I am a retired Correction Officer (Nassau County). I am a member of COTA (Council Of Thought and Action) Hempstead, NY, which services post incarcerated people, I'm also a member of NAN (National Action Network) Nassau County, NY chapter. Currently, I'm a member and Vice President of The Mildred W. Fairclough Foundation, Inc., a NonProfit in which we give back to All in need, nationwide. Also, I am a current member of the Roosevelt Chamber of Commerce, Roosevelt, LI, NY.  I am a Community activist in search of fairness and equality for all as well as a liaison and member of several Women empowerment organizations, #DopeChicksUnite and #GROWNGIRLSNYC. I am a member of the Congregational Church of South Hempstead. I enjoy football (professional and non), reading, various music genres, family time, outdoor activities, and generally being able to involve myself in my community.

My ultimate goal is to help bring about positive changes by working together with the Roosevelt Library and the Roosevelt Community.
